Revise the Home’s menu on a regular basis.
Ensure all food orders are requested with ample time while working under an agreed budget.
Ensure that the kitchen is hygienically clean at all times.
Ensure dietary requirements are monitored, adhered to and met as necessary.
Prepare meals at an agreed time as required by the home and residents.
Ensure timely distribution of scheduled meals.
Offer and prepare meal options for residents to include main food groups.
Monitor/oversee any meals prepared by kitchen staff.
Delegate appropriate work to the kitchen staff as required and monitor that this has been carried out to a satisfactory level.
Report any equipment requirements or maintenance requirements in timely fashion.
Ensure all cleaning is completed as per cleaning rota.
Ensure appropriate kitchen protocol is maintained.
Adhere to and ensure safe practice according to Health and Safety policies.
Adhere to Food Hygiene Regulations and HACCP.
Qualifications / Experience:
Successful candidates will be expected to complete an induction programme and in-service training.
