Job description

To provide an efficient and effective accounting and administrative support service to the Outer West Neighbourhood Partnership Strategy Manager and Board of Directors. The Administrator will work with a wide range of people and at times vulnerable groups such as children and older people, therefore having a warm, positive and friendly personality is a key requirement. .

Responsibilities

  • To implement and adhere to the financial policies and procedures of Outer West Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership
  • To maintain all accounting records including bank reconciliations cheques journal and purchase ledger relating to the organisation
  • To maintain the computerised recording of financial transactions
  • To operate the PAYE system including calculation of salaries for all staff, completion of quarterly returns and the necessary payments to Inland Revenue and completion of annual returns
  • To be responsible for submitting financial claims and associated documentation related to these financial / funding claims within required deadlines. Oversee and reconcile all financial drawdowns for funding claims
  • Responsible for all income, recording, safe keeping and making regular bank lodgements
  • To process all documentation relating to invoices and statements, expenses and orders placed
  • To ensure that financial reports, expense forms and invoices are forwarded for approval to the manager in a timely manner

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent to include Maths and English
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a financial and administrative role
  • Use of HMRC Basic Tools or other payroll system
  • Experience of operating Accountancy/Administration Systems
  • Excellent IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Ability to work unsupervised prioritise workloads and work on own initiative
  • Funding Bodies within the C&V Sector
  • Experience of using websites and social media for promotional purposes
