Ensure food is prepared and stored following guidelines from Environmental Health Department. Prepare and serve breakfast.
Assist with service of meals to residents and staff.
Assist hospitality staff with clearing and cleaning of dining room.
Ensure thorough cleaning of kitchen areas as per cleaning rota and complete documentation. Adhere to all aspects of Food Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
Attend COSHH (Control of substances hazardous to health) training and use personal protective equipment as instructed.
Report to management and take out of commission any defective equipment until repaired.
Sign for deliveries as and when necessary.
Any other duties that contribute to care and wellbeing of the residents and to the smooth running of the Home.
Qualifications / Experience:
Basic Food Hygiene knowledge and General Knowledge of HACCP.
Flexible reworking hours, early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Able to work occasional overtime when required.
Intermediate Food Hygiene 706 level 1 & 2 or equivalent.
BTEC Nat Hotel & Catering Ability to problem solve.
Previous experience in a similar role.
