The Waterside Shared Village Project Assistant will develop and deliver innovative and effective community programmes with a focus on good relations. The post holder will work closely with their counterpart at Hillcrest Trust to deliver programmes and events across the communities of Top of the Hill and Irish Street.
Qualifications / Experience:
Minimum of two years’ experience in the last 5 years of delivery of community projects preferably in a community development setting.
Experience of working with good relations projects.
Implementation and delivery of community-based projects.
Community consultation, engagement or outreach.
Robust understanding of equality and diversity, and adult and child safeguarding.
Risk Assessment experience.
Supervision skills and experience.
Effective communication (liaison, verbal, written i.e. email/letter/report) and negotiation skills.
Experience of evaluation, monitoring and information systems.
Strong data/statistical analysis skills.
Strong report-writing skills.
Strong administrative skills.
Strong IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft word applications.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Willing to work later into the evening and on occasional weekends.

Wage: £23,500.00 per annum based on 35 hour week (Pro rata 20 hours per week).
